Inspiration

Not having anyone to talk to and not knowing what's going on my town made me think, why is that the case?

What it does

Allows you to see what's happening within your local community and interact with people there.

How I built it

Having an API built with Node.js that handles all the data within an application and a React application serving all that data.

Challenges I ran into

• Spending too much on design (which was good, learnt a lot about Figma)
• Typescript errors

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

• Learnt a lot about Figma
• Used a Docker image within the backend
• Pretty good synchronicity between teammates and did our jobs

What I learned

• Splitting up time more efficiently
• Knowing how to use Figma and the design processes that go into it
• Utilizing Docker as a means to quickly build up services

What's next for Townie

• If the idea hits off, building it into something more legitimate
