Inspiration💡

Our inspiration for this project came from the need to improve team bonding and engagement within Zitec. We wanted to create an internal app that would connect team members through fun and exciting experiences outside of work. 🎉

📊To confirm our need for applications like Tovărășia, we created a form from which several interesting data points emerged. 63% of respondents believe that the transition to work from home has created a hindrance in building connections with colleagues, while 81% believe that interpersonal relationships within a team can directly impact its performance, and especially 92% of colleagues express a desire for more opportunities to build interpersonal relationships with their coworkers. 👥 This is how Tovărășia was born. ❤️️

What it does 🤖

Our app, Tovărășia, brings Zitec team members together by offering a variety of activities such as 🎵concerts, 🛶kayaking, 🧘yoga, and 📷photography. Members can browse through different events and sign up to participate. This helps to create a sense of community and team bonding within the company.

How we built it 🔨

We built the App with the 🔮 magical powers of vanilla, sugar, spice, and everything nice, ✨using a combination of React Native and Firebase. The app features a user-friendly interface that allows team members to easily browse and sign up for events. We also incorporated push notifications to keep members updated on upcoming activities.

Challenges we ran into 💪

One of the biggest challenges we faced was designing the app to be inclusive of all 🤝team members' interests and 🗓️ schedules. We had to carefully curate activities that would appeal to a wide variety of individuals while also making sure they fit within everyone's schedules. However, we ultimately overcame these challenges and are proud of what we were able to accomplish with Tovărășia.

THE TEAM. We are colleagues but we become tovarăși for life💖 We're proud of creating an internal app that will help to improve team bonding and 🎉 engagement within Zitec. Tovărășia will be successful in bringing team members together through fun and exciting activities outside of work.

What we learned 🧠

Throughout the development process of Tovărășia, we learned a lot about the importance of designing apps with inclusivity in mind. We had to carefully curate activities that would appeal to a wide variety of 🎨 interests and 🗓️ schedules.

What's next for Tovărășia 🚀

In the future, we plan to continue improving and expanding Tovărășia. We're exploring the possibility of incorporating additional features such as in-app messaging but our ultimate goal is to continue fostering a sense of community and team bonding within Zitec through Tovărășia.
