About the Project — Tourweaver

Inspiration

Trip planning is tedious and scattered across too many sites. I wanted to build something that could understand what you’re looking for and instantly turn it into a complete, personalized tour.

What I Learned

I learned how to connect AI with real data and make it feel effortless for the user. It taught me a lot about prompt design, API integration, and optimizing backend performance.

Tech Stack

Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Express, PostgreSQL, Firebase Auth, Gemini 2.5 Pro (AI), and Google Maps / Places API.

Challenges

The hardest part was translating vague user prompts into meaningful routes and making each stop feel deliberate and connected.
