Inspiration
Traveling can be a fun and exciting experience, but it can also be challenging when you don't have any local contacts or information about your destination. That's where the inspiration for this project came from: to create a tool that could help travelers explore new places with the help of AI.
What it does
The project uses OpenAI API to provide personalized recommendations based on user input, such as a city or region of interest. Whether you're looking for the best restaurants, the top tourist attractions, or the most scenic outdoor spots, the AI-powered tool can generate tailored recommendations to help you make the most of your trip.
How we built it
To bring this idea to life, we used Django to build the back-end of the application, and HTML and CSS for the front-end. The OpenAI API was integrated to power the AI-generated recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
As with any project, we faced some challenges along the way. Time was a constraint, and we had to make some difficult decisions about what features to prioritize and how to allocate our resources effectively. Despite these challenges, we're proud of what we were able to accomplish and believe that the project has the potential to help many travelers plan their trips more efficiently and enjoyably.
