Inspiration: As a traveler myself, I often struggled to find reliable information on nearby restaurants, hotels and traffic conditions. That's why I designed Tourist Go! - to help people travel with ease and convenience.

What it does: Tourist Go! uses real-time GPS data to show nearby restaurants, hotels and traffic conditions. Users can filter results based on rating.

How we built it: We used MIT's App Inventor. It was fun to build with and a different technology than the endless IDEs and Terminals we look at every week.

Challenges we ran into: One of the biggest challenges we faced was ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data we used. We also had to optimize the app's performance to ensure a smooth and seamless user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We're proud of the user-friendly interface we created, as well as the app's ability to provide reliable and up-to-date information.

What we learned: We learned the importance of data accuracy and optimization in app development. Utilizing layouts in creative ways rather than memory intensive operations like extra screens for example.

What's next for Tourist Go!: In the future, we plan to expand the app's functionality to include additional travel-related information, such as local events and attractions. We also plan to incorporate machine learning to provide personalized recommendations based on user preferences.
