Tourapin

Inspiration 💡

Several of my friends and family members have visited me while living in Hawaii. While I always want to show them the best places, I may not always have the time. The idea for Tourapin came about while wanting to create a virtual tour guide for friends and family, so that they can experience Hawaii like a local if I am ever unavailable to show them around.

What it does 🚀

Tourapin is an online site for connecting tourists with virtual tour guides.

Users can view reviews, pricing, and locations of experiences to determine if they would like to purchase a tour guides virtual experience.

New tour guides can set their price low or free to build up reviews and later determine the price of their tours.

Tourapin takes a percentage of the guide fee but is overall a great way for travel influencers to travel, share their experience and make extra money giving virtual experiences of a destination.

Once the user has subscribed, the snapcode for the tour guide's tour is available for them to view the experience in snapchat.

After the virtual experience, users can submit reviews and feedback to guides to further improve the platform. Above is the 10 second clip of a Tourapin Tour
