We wanted to make a creative and intuitive application that anyone can use to explore one of the greatest cities in the world.
Imagine you've just arrived in Auckland and want to know what there is to do. This application will simply and quickly show the user what's in their surrounding area on a dynamic pannable map by clicking on markers which pop up photo's other users have taken.
Not just for tourists it's designed for anyone looking to explore Auckland; Tourists and locals alike interested in seeing the best parts of this city they would otherwise never have discovered before.
The application allows users to post Photo's of places they've visited and plot the photo on a map of Auckland for anyone to view. Integrating this with Auckland Transport, the app will show you how (bus, walk, ferry, car) to go to a place that you really want to go to. Individuals are given the power to contribute and engage with the application by posting their own photos and up voting; helping to promote Auckland whilst receiving recognition for their contributions.
It's designed to be web and cross-platform mobile based so anyone and everyone can contribute to this application.
