Inspiration
So recently I've been going for walks more often and it has genuinely improved my day so much. It's also my number one escape the Brainrot hack! š¤”
What it does
- tracks how often you leave the house using a streak that resets everyday and gives you 'grass points' (couldn't come up with a better name ahaha).
- ## How we built it Frontend - HTML, CSS, JS Backend - MongoDB (for the grass steak and points)
Challenges we ran into
I overestimated how much I could have done in the time that I had (also overestimated my ability to code š¤¦š»āāļø)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was my first ever hackathon and I went solo! I made the decision to actually make something pretty late (10 hours ago). Nevertheless, I'm proud I actually finished it! (ps thank you Audrey for creating the most welcoming environment for us noobs :)
What we learned
I learned a lot about MongoDb and testing server and tile map (for a feature that was incomplete and so I could't add it to the final version but I made some sick tile maps)
What's next for touch grass
Finish the feature I didn't have time to make (a virtual 2d garden generated by the things the user saw/interacted with when they went outside) and deploy it
