Inspiration and how the ArcGIS Map serves the Women, Infants, and Children San Francisco Bay Area community

I created the Women, Infants, and children food store finder web app. I was inspired to help this community because I wanted to empower low income women with infants and children which food stores accept their food vouchers in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Empowered with the mapping ArcGIS data, these moms do not have to be embarrassed if they go up to the food store check out counter in their neighborhood and pull out their vouchers, so they may purchase food for their family. County, and City governments can provide these low income moms easy access to the TotalWIC ArcGIS map app and food store location list to identify the food stores in their communities that accept WIC food vouchers. Social Services, such as the WIC program, empower moms to care for their infants and children with actionable information in the cities and counties they live in.
