🔥Inspiration

Deciding what to gift someone close to you on any special occasion has been something really tough and time consuming for almost all of us. So, this is what motivated us to go for this project.

🌟What it does

TotallyLoveUs is a web application portal where people all over the world help each other with gift/present suggestions and recommendations. User can post about the person and the event which they are celebrating and other people at global level are able to help them out via the portal.

⚒️How we built it

The entire backend was built using vanilla Javascript and Google Firebase's Firestore as the database hub. Talking about the frontend, the frontend design of the web application relies on basic HTML, CSS as well as advanced CSS frameworks and JS libraries like Bootstrap v5 and Tailwind.

✏️Challenges we ran into

There were certain challenges like literature survey about the current scenario and working on the problem statement respectively.
Database mapping was also one of the most challenging part of the project.
And last but not the least the time constraint for this hackathon was one of the major concerns regarding the deployment of the designed demo video.

🧠What we learned

We learned how to connect people through internet using database mapping and efficiently displaying it with a professional and beautifully designed graphical user interface.

Talking about the future scope we are looking forward to implement further more advanced features regarding social media utilities to make this portal more useful and handy.
