Tosca Integration with Atlassian JIRA and Bamboo

Inspiration

Tricentis Tosca is getting popular in software testing industry. It make easier to integrate it Atlassian toolset seamlessly so that it could add value to the team to get all test execution information handy and well presented in mostly used issue management tool JIRA itself, rather getting reports in email of stored in remote locations.

What it does

It integrates Tosca execution as well reporting in Atlassion CI/CD tool Bamboo as well as JIRA seamlessly.

How I built it

Its build with JAVA on top of Bamboo CI/C server as plugin to extend the functionality of Bamboo to support Tosca tests execution and reporting in Bamboo and updates in JIRA issues.

Challenges I ran into

The Tosca is an enterprise tool which generates special types of report. I developed software program to convert the report in Bamboo readable form and then integrate the same with JIRA.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Seamless integration of Tricentis Tosca with Bamboo CI/CD. Using this plugin means testers/devops dont need to waste time on searching how to integrate Tosca with CI/CD.
