A web app that analyzes crimes in the City of Toronto. Also provides the ability to predict when a crime will occur.

This app provides insights into crime trends occurring in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Data is from Toronto Police Service and Toronto Open Data.

The application has 4 sections:

  • Crime Overview
  • Crime Exploration
  • Neighbourhood Crime Exploration
  • Neighbourhood Crime Predictor

Challenges

The main challenge was understanding the data as well as prepping the data before it was used for the analysis and prediction.

Improving the performance of the prediction model.
