Inspiration

I was inspired by games like vampire survivor, where the whole goal is to survive as long as possible against a never ending wave of enemies.

What it does

The program is simply a game for entertainment purposes. It isn't intended to change the world as we know it, it just exists for fun.

How we built it

It was built in Unity with a lot of assistance form chatGPT and various video tutorials on Unity.

Challenges we ran into

Almost everything was a challenge initially. By far the biggest challenge though, was having the enemy maintain its references to objects in the scene view, after they were populated in the scene view by spawner objects.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Honestly just making something that works. I'm still new to game development and making something from scratch and making something is really cool to see.

What's next for Top Down Survivor Game

I'm probably gonna take the time to go through and redo the entire project to get a better understanding of everything that went on, as I only really understand bits and pieces of everything. Also adding on more to it with ideas I originally had, but couldn't get to as I couldn't manage, such as random events, more enemy variety, attacks, and unique models for the enemies and player.
