Inspiration

Our inspiration came from a desire to promote sustainability and foster a sense of community. What it does

The website is a tool-sharing platform designed to connect members of a neighborhood who have tools they are willing to rent with those who need them. The site provides a user-friendly interface that enables members to easily post available tools and browse listings for tools they require. Members can also communicate directly through the platform to arrange tool pick-up and return. The website aims to foster a sense of community and promote sustainable living by facilitating the sharing of resources within local neighborhoods. By utilizing the site, members can reduce their consumption, save money, and build stronger social connections with their neighbors.

How we built it

We built using Velo by Wix. We created a database to store information about the tools and members. We used Velo's built-in components and APIs to create a user interface for the website, including forms for posting and browsing tools, search functionality, and messaging features for members to communicate with one another. We also integrated with payment processing platforms to enable members to pay for tool rentals securely.

Challenges we ran into
