Inspiration
We sought to help this program that promotes a service we value, and to gain valuable experience in working in a collaborative problem solving environment.
What it does
Our product is a system that will more efficiently allow The Tool Library to manage the waitlists for their tools. It does this by enabling the members of the library to place themselve on the waitlists without requiring volunteers to do it for them.
How we built it
We built this system by organizing and planning the structure by which it can be implimented, and creating models of what that system will look like when implemented.
Challenges we ran into
The main challanges we ran into were finding a good solution for connecting our data sources and struggling with the balance between automation and control. We had to coordinate the use of Zapier to work with the information stored within our system.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our product is incredibly affordable, and it's low-coding requirements makes it easy to learn and expand.
What we learned
It is very difficult to build informative logistics solutions without the assistance of a Web Developer. This has made us a bit more cognizent of the importance of that position with a company.
What's next for Tool Library: Reservation Renovation
The Tool Library will have to follow the structure that we've outlined to impliment our system into the opperations.
