Inspiration
Billions of people don't have access to a smartphone but still need transportation
What it does
Enables users to call an Uber with a simple SMS text message as long as they make an Uber account and a Toober account online beforehand
How I built it
Mainly using Node.js, and the APIs for Uber, Google-geocoding, and Twilio
Challenges I ran into
...using the Uber APIs
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The whole project!
What I learned
How to incorporate many languages and APIs into one program
What's next for Toober
We hope to clean it up and maybe add some new features
