Tony - friend of your money

Inspiration

Tony was inspired by the struggles teenagers face in managing their money and understanding finances in a relatable way. We noticed a gap in financial tools that speak the language of Gen Z and address their unique spending habits. The idea was to create a fun, AI-driven assistant that not only teaches but also makes saving and budgeting engaging.

What it does

Tony helps teenagers track their spending, set financial goals, and understand their habits in an interactive way. It communicates using slang, memes, and a friendly tone to make financial advice feel approachable. Tony offers personalized recommendations and challenges to help users save more and spend smarter.

How we built it

All designs are built in Figma. Pre design phase was conducted with multiple researches.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing financial accuracy with a playful tone to ensure the app was both credible and enjoyable. Designing the app to appeal to a diverse range of teenagers with different financial knowledge levels.

What's next for Tony - friend of your money

Expanding the app’s features to include investment education and virtual financial simulations. Partnering with schools to incorporate Tony into financial literacy curriculums. Adding support for more languages and regions to make Tony a global companion for teenage money management.
