Tomo Buddy is a cozy virtual-pet simulation where you raise a creature with an AI behavior system that genuinely learns from you. (Tomo means "friend" in Japanese.) With three gestures — tap, swipe, drag — you feed, teach, and shape a clumsy newborn in a snow-dusted mountain into a self-sufficient companion that fishes, plays, and even makes up its own songs while you're away. No menus, no health bars, no fail state.

Inspiration: the Tamagotchis I grew up with — I wanted a pet that doesn't just react, but learns, and slowly develops its own personality.

What I learned: the hook isn't the AI itself — it's that a creature who learns from you and delivers a real "look who it became." The hardest part was keeping it cozy while still giving every choice weight and makes coming back feel like curiosity and not obligation.

How I built it: I designed the systems end-to-end — core loop, creature AI, a food-and-skill economy— then produced all four artifacts (Game Design Document, Player Journey Map, Visual Concept Package, Production Plan).
