I apologize for using Google Translate.

I built this project for people who struggle to create and share content on social media.

I can relate to this problem myself. When I was a middle school student, I was not allowed to post on social media, and I realized how many people have ideas and creativity but face barriers when trying to share them.

This experience inspired me to create Tomato Clip, an AI-powered video editing assistant that helps transform long videos into engaging short-form content.

Building the Project

Tomato Clip is designed to act like an AI video editor. It analyzes videos, finds interesting moments, creates short clips, adds subtitles and effects, and helps creators produce content more efficiently.

Throughout development, I learned that great products require more than just functionality. Usability, design, and the overall user experience are equally important.

In the early stages, I created a prototype that worked technically, but it felt like a traditional business tool rather than a product people would enjoy using. I focused on redesigning the experience to make it more intuitive, modern, and approachable.

For the user interface, I was inspired by modern AI tools such as ChatGPT and focused on creating a clean experience where users can interact naturally with AI.

The development process involved me designing the product ideas, architecture, and user experience, while using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation and iteration.

Challenges and Learnings

One of the biggest lessons from this project was realizing how powerful AI can be as a development partner.

With the help of modern AI tools, I was able to turn ideas into a working product, rapidly test new concepts, and continuously improve the software.

This project showed me that building advanced software is becoming more accessible. The ability to create is no longer limited to people with years of technical experience; anyone with curiosity, creativity, and the willingness to learn can build meaningful products.

I also learned that a successful AI product is not only about the model itself. The way users interact with the technology and the experience around it are just as important.

Future Development

If I receive additional credits, I would like to further improve Tomato Clip’s editing capabilities, enhance the AI decision-making process, and strengthen security testing.

My goal is to continue developing Tomato Clip into a more capable AI creative assistant that helps more people share their ideas and creativity.

This project represents my belief that AI can empower individuals to create things that were previously difficult to build alone.
