Inspiration

Tons of stories are left without official copyright laws after hundreds of years. A lot of these are available online. Sourcing them into an app for reading sounded sweet.

What it does

Fetches stories. Pick from one, three or five minute ones.

How I built it

I wanted to hop back into iOS development with Swift. Opened Xcode + Google and started. Mocked up the app in Sketch.

Challenges I ran into

Remembering some aspects of Swift was difficult at first -- it eventually clicked, with a little help from the Internet.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Hopping back into Swift; Hack Western has acted as a launching pad back into iOS development.

What I learned

Some aspects of Swift had to be relearn, mostly API calls and minor syntax errors.
