Inspiration

More and more apps nowadays have made our lives much more convenient and also made socialising much easier, but sometimes shallower too. Our reliance on phones keeps stealing our attention even when we are meeting with friends. Hence, we need a way to motivate each other to go out more with friends and focus on the present during meetups.

What it does

Togather does three main things:

Gather friends - create events and other users can join the event through event code
Focus on the present - detect app state and rewards will be deducted if any user leaves the app for more than a certain period of time e.g. 30 seconds
Enjoy more presents - if the group of friends complete the whole duration of the event without checking other apps, the group will be rewarded with coins/vouchers.

What's next for Togather

Recommendation: as friends sync their calendar with Togather, Togather will be able to find a commonly available timeslot. Moreover, base on their preferences for food/leisure activities which are updated in the user profile, Togather will be able to recommend meet up place e.g. movie theatre followed by chilling at a cafe to the group of friends.
Marketplace (collaboration with vendors): as Togather rewards coins to groups who stay focused during the duration they were meeting, users can go to the marketplace to exchange for shop discounts/vouchers.
Whitelisting: allow whitelisting essential apps, such as calls
