Inspiration
I wanted to make a portfolio that people could interact with instead of just scrolling through. Since I enjoy F1 and racing games, I turned the portfolio into a racing experience.
What it does
Drive the red #23 car, overtake six rivals, and unlock different portfolio sections. Pass all six cars and cross the finish line to complete the experience.
How we built it
Built with Three.js, WebGL, GLSL, JavaScript, and Web Audio API. The track, cars, stadium, crowd, environment, and audio are generated directly in code.
Challenges we ran into
We had issues with an invisible track, broken grandstand positioning, headless testing, and making the driving controls feel smooth and fair.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a complete playable racing experience that also works as a portfolio, including procedural 3D environments, animated crowds, synthesized audio, and mobile controls.
What we learned
We learned that simple geometry and shaders can create complex-looking scenes, and that good game controls matter more than realistic physics.
What's next for Today
We want to add features like pit-lane navigation, overtake replays, a fastest-lap leaderboard, and more interactions.
