Toast

Inspiration

We were inspired by other similar scheduling apps and our own personal life of forgetting important dates when we are too busy

What it does

It helps the user track their friends and families' interests, emphasizing their birthday

How we built it

We designed it using Figma and coded it through react while also using the VSCode Copilot to assist us

Challenges we ran into

We weren't really experienced in coding, so we had to learn as we went. It was a steep learning curve but we were given many helpful resources. We still utilized our basic knowledge to ensure the best product or understand bugs and errors that appeared.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our final product exceeded our initial expectations we had going in to it so we were really proud of how it turned out

What we learned

AI is a powerful tool and learning how to properly prompt it is very useful and a really good baseline. We learned some very useful resources from our mentors

What's next for Toast

If we were to continue this project, we would want to add some more user friendly features that we didn't have time to add such as notifications and settings for more better user experience.
