If you're a teen, do you feel prepared for Adulthood? If you're an adult, do you still feel prepared? Welcome to the mobile app "To Adulthood!" where you learn essential skills to being an adult.

Inspiration

We're scared for Adulthood and came up with the idea of making an easy to access, completely compiled, guide app to allow teenagers like us to not feel as worried about growing up.

This can further be used by those who are already an adult but find it useful to remember.

What it does

This app has three paths: business, finance, and law. Each path has many prompts and questions that are commonly encountered when being an adult and answered in summarized articles and pictures.

How we built it

We used expo snack and react-native to program and run the app, along with procreate to create the art.

Challenges we ran into

As a team of two, we had less man-power and we also chose a language that neither of us were familiar with. Learning the syntax was not too tricky but fixing the errors and troubleshooting took a long time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That we actually managed to finish and make a functioning app without having to last minute switch to Figma!!

What we learned

React-native syntax, the importance of a good colour-palette, and how to develop a mobile app since it was both our first time.

What's next for To Adulthood!

We hope to flesh it out more by adding more prompts and advice in each path and we to fill out the remaining information.
