Inspiration
We took inspiration from enterprises that are helping reduce the climate crisis like StepN and SweatCoin which use a business model based on circular economy.
What it does
Tli is a React mobile app that counts steps and rewards users with tlicoins which can be used to claim discounts and products.
How we built it
We used Laravel as a backend framework where we developed the endpoints for user authentication and step records. For frontend we used React and managed all the screens through this framework. In order to make the sensors of the mobile phone work we developed native code to access hardware from iOS and Android
Challenges we ran into
Creating and launching mySQL database to the cloud, setting up larval with the database and developing native Kotlin code for Android sensor recognition.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A neat steps counting system, great visuals and a potential business idea for a real problematic.
What we learned
We learned a lot about framework infrastructure, code structure, data management, API's and mobile frontend design.
What's next for Tli
Launching the demo app for a business proposal.
