We are changing the event-based travel industry by replacing one-size-fits-all packages with mass customized experiences that are easily built and purchased through a single transaction.
What it does
Tixsel is a fully-integrated event and travel management platform that makes it possible to customize entire experiences from the moment of initial ticket purchase and/or booking through the completion of the event/stay.
Tixsel’s Experience Builder replaces unappealing one-size-fits-all packages with fully customizable experiences that include tickets, flights, hotels, visas, and event-specific add-ons.
Our platform gives attendees complete control of their experience by offering the widest range of flights, hotels, and add-ons available in the market today.
Tixsel’s proprietary packaging algorithms, global network of over 200,000 hotel and airline partners, and Event Management Portal, bring mass customization to major events like Hajj and Umrah. For the first time, millions of attendees can control and customize every aspect of their journey and build the experience that is best for them.
Whats more, we can use blockchain technology to ensure that Visas are procured and country quotas are tracked correctly. This ensures safety and eliminates any errors and/or mishaps that could take place with less secure technology.

- Tixsel’s algorithm can scan over 200,000 hotel and flight partners in cities across the globe or filter for specific brands, properties, and rates.
- Tixsel’s Event Management Portal is used to create customized food and beverage and merchandise offers that can be included in individual experiences.
How we built it
We build the Experience Builder by becoming an IATA accredited travel agency and partnering with Sabre, Amadeus and Expedia for access to the entire universe of flights, hotels, and transport.
We then built our own Event Management Portal through which events and pilgrimages can be created and managed. Through this portal, the organizer or owner of the event can create add-ons such as food and beverage packages, visas, and other items available for purchase. They can also track every transaction down to the smallest details.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we ran into when getting started was gaining entry and credibility in the travel industry. Getting accredited by IATAN is not an easy task and it required a compelling vision and great product.
Additionally, we think our user experience is great! Our use of algorithms to filter through the entire universe of flights, hotels, add-ons, and more based on user-specific inputs, makes it possible to easily create complete experiences that can be purchased through a single transaction is delightful and special.

What we learned
- The travel industry and the technology that supports it is complex. It requires a dedicated and focused team that understands not only the customer but also the surrounding business environment and countless partners and stakeholders you must deal with.
What's next for Tixsel Experience Builder
- We would love to become an approved travel agency for Hajj and Umrah so that we can issue Visas to pilgrims from every corner of the globe and make the experience of traveling to Mecca as personal, unique, and memorable as possible!
