Inspiration
Traditional personal electronic devices (like tablets and smartphones) and spatial computing headsets (like Meta Quest 3) exist as separate hardware paradigmsspan_1span_1. Standard mobile devices lack deep spatial-rendering capabilities, while modern headsets can be restrictive for traditional workstation tasksspan_2span_2. Inspired by the need for a unified computing experience, "Gotor 02" was conceptualized to bridge spatial computing and tablet architecture at the molecular and material levelspan_3span_3.
What it does
Conceptualized by researcher MD. Abu Hujaif (Alexy Layho), "Gotor 02" is a hybrid mixed-reality tablet framework that integrates spatial hardware with molecular material engineeringspan_4span_4:
- Integrates Meta Quest 3-inspired depth sensors, RGB camera arrays, and IR tracking into a high-performance tablet form factorspan_5span_5.
- Incorporates a Quantum LCD / Mini LED hybrid display utilizing Indium Tin Oxide ($In_2O_3 + SnO_2$) and Gallium Nitride ($GaN$) for precise spatial renderingspan_6span_6.
- Utilizes Graphene ($C$) and Aluminum Nitride ($AlN$) thermal layers for passive high-performance cooling during heavy spatial computingspan_7span_7.
- Employs pancake lens optical systems and Lithium hybrid energy cells ($LiCoO_2 / C$) for portable, extended mixed-reality operationsspan_8span_8.
How we built it
The theoretical hardware framework was synthesized through multi-disciplinary research combining Molecular Electronics, Materials Science, and Biotechnology at the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong (USTC)span_9span_9. By analyzing the chemical and molecular compositions of modern VR components and semi-conductors, a integrated hybrid tablet architecture was mappedspan_10span_10.
Challenges we faced
Balancing thermal dissipation in a compact tablet chassis while driving high-megawatt AI optical processors, and ensuring chemical stability across hybrid bioelectronic display layersspan_11span_11.
What's next for Gotor 02
Simulating bioelectronic interface compatibility, conducting molecular stability analysis for thermal graphene layers, and partnering with hardware manufacturers to explore hybrid spatial-tablet prototypingspan_12span_12.
