Inspiration

Aquatic resources across the globe face critical threats due to over-exploitation, pollution, and unorganized culture practices. Inspired by the need for sustainable aquatic food security and biodiversity protection, "Black Tech 01" was conceptualized to revolutionize aquatic resource management.

What it does

"Black Tech 01" is an integrated model for global aquatic resource management through leasing water bodies and excavating specialized culture ponds. It deploys advanced floating, aerial, and submarine factories designed to:

  • Produce organic fish feed, probiotics, and targeted therapeutics directly on water platforms.
  • Utilize submarine facilities for controlled-pressure deep-sea breeding, larva production, and hybridization.
  • Deploy aerial-floating hybrid factories for rapid disaster response and resource relocation.
  • Monitor water quality in real time using automated sensors while minimizing pollution.

How we built it

The model integrates biochemical engineering, biotechnology, and advanced marine robotics. Designed by MD. Abu Hujaif (Alexy Layho), a Biochemist & Biotechnologist from USTC, the system combines natural and artificial breeding techniques, waste recycling for biogas/fertilizer production, and high-yield aquaculture strategies.

Challenges we faced

Navigating complex international maritime regulations, environmental protocols, and designing synchronized aerial-submarine factory infrastructure were the primary conceptual challenges.

What's next for Black Tech 01

Further optimization of sensor networks for real-time aquatic monitoring, expanding research on high-yield hybridization protocols, and establishing pilot floating factory units.
