Inspiration

We took inspiration from SAP's challenge, we knew that we could we're capable of building a nice functional fully accessible web application using react and that's what we set our mind to do.

What it does

Our app "The Tire Shop" takes in a CSV file that is then parsed by a chat-gpt A.I. bot that organizes and optimizes the clients appointments to maximize profits for the company.

How we built it

Our development stack consists of React, Node.js and vite for the frontend, and express, postgresql and OpenAIs chat-gpt 4.0 turbo bot.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't realize how hard the algorithm was to create and it set us back quite a bit since we didn't allocate our time appropriately. We also ran into some minors bugs that kept setting us back and we spent hours on missing semi-colons, which is never fun. However we persevered and stayed up the entire 24 hours and did as much as we possibly could.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our front-end as we think that it looks clean, concise and easily usable by anyone. We are also very proud of our backend as we think that having persistent data makes us stand out from the other hackers.

What we learned

We learned that we need to not overestimate as much because we thought that we would've been able to do much more in much less time but we failed to consider all of the things that would set us back like bugs and mistakes that we didn't catch quickly.

What's next for The Tire Shop

Well we would like to iron out the kinks and add some extra features such as logins to prevent anyone from just uploading a csv and editing the data as they please. We would also like to refine our A.I. so that it can generate even better schedules.
