Inspiration
Drunkbot cam from a D&D DM who created a living brass roboid named Tipsy. He was filled with ale and had a spigot where his belly was. It was our duty to make Tipsy a reality.
What it does
It talks when it is spoken to, or at least when it hears noise. It rotates a servo to simulate taking a drink. With a button push, it gets more drunk.
How I built it
We use arduino with Intel Edison. We used C++ libraries for the LCD display, and coded the rest in the Arduino IDE.
Challenges I ran into
Getting the Intel Edison to read properly on a Linux computer.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We made a robot that gets drunk. It is self explanatory.
What I learned
We learned how to handle a small computer like Intel Edison, a bit of AI programming, showing relations between different inputs and outputs, and simple behaviour
What's next for Tipsy the Drunken Bar-tending Robot
Wheels, so when he gets drunk, he runs into walls. A light sensor so he freaks out when lights are off, or just goes to sleep. Buzzer to speak in mores corde
