Inspiration
Having a sibling that is going through this process right now, made me want to share the knowledge of how to get ready for college. So, I decided to create a website using HTML, and my personal knowledge and experience.
What it does
This is an informational website for students to learn about preparing for College. It goes over most of the basic steps.
How I built it
I built this website on Code Pen IO, as taught in the workshop. I used mostly HTML to build this website, as well as CSS to add some special features.
Challenges I ran into
It had been some time since I coded, so it took me a little time to get used to the lists and basic codes. Fortunately, through the help of the workshop as well as W3Schools, I was able to do everything.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am really proud to make a website on getting ready for College. When I started this project, I wanted to make something no one has ever made. Also, I wanted to make something that people could use. At this time, I think college is a major topic for the young adults. Hence, I thought the best topic for the website should be: Tips to Get Ready for College. When my sister (rising High School Senior ) read this, she gave me lots of compliments, and I hope others like her will find this website helpful.
What I learned
I learnt a lot more about CSS and HTML. For example, I did not know that there is an Anchor code in HTML to link a part of the page. I also learned more about Web Design, like changing fonts sizes, colors, and positions.
What's next for Tips to Get Ready for College
Right now, this website has some information, but I think I can expand on it. So as I keep learning and experiencing new things about college preparation, I will add on to this website's topics.
