Inspiration
We were inspired by our love for discord and school. We wanted to create an efficient way to organize all or tasks we have to complete so we can become more productive. That's when we thought to make Tina Task Manger. It's perfect for all ages and a great way to stay organized while having fun.
What it does
Tina Task Manager creates a to-do list to help the user plan out their day. You can also remove tasks and add them as desired. An additional feature included with Tina Task Manager is that you can earn points based on how productive you are to compete with your friends. The player with the most points is winning!
How we built it
To build our project, my team used visual studio codes and coded the program in javascript.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into countless of challenges. To begin with we began coding her one way for a few hours only to have to scrap it and start fresh. Later we struggled with the code in general but we were able to solve it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we never gave up. Although we worked on something for 4 hours for nothing we were still motivated to continue on and try again. We had fun and were able to finish our pain goals.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned more about how to code in javascript since we were not as familiar with it prior to the hackathon. We also learned to not give up even if things become difficult and that being persistent is key.
What's next for Tina Task Manager
We want to implement dates and schedules for Tina. That way people can see upcoming due dates. Another aspect we want is notifications. For example, a ping notification when a certain date is coming up. Lastly, prizes can be won with the points so that it's more than just bragging rights.
