Inspiration
Inspired by games like UFO 50: Barbuta, Castlevania and Super Metroid. We wanted to focus on careful consideration of the environment.
What it does
It's a slower moving platformer that rewards you for making a mental map of the levels.
How we built it
We built in in Godot using GDScript, and Libresprite for art assets
Challenges we ran into
There was an issue with how Godot uses file names across operating systems leading to a bunch of issues with version control
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The state machine and the teleporting system are some cool pieces that were put together
What we learned
We mostly all beginners both to Git and Godot in general. We picked up both technical skills and ways to make smart design decisions
What's next for Tina's Big Adventure
Future road map would be to add more levels and make longer and more circuitous traversal puzzles.
Built With
- gdscript
- libresprite
