Inspiration
We realized that time is one of the most valuable resources, yet it’s often wasted because of rigid schedules and poor coordination. The idea behind TimeTrade was to build a platform where people can trade or swap time slots, giving them more flexibility and freedom in their day.
What it does
TimeTrade helps users manage their schedules by letting them exchange time slots with others. Instead of stressing over conflicts, users can quickly adjust their commitments, making it easier to stay balanced and productive.
How we built it
Logo & Branding: Designed a professional, modern logo that represents connection and exchange.
Assets: Created multiple icon sizes (192×192, 256×256, 384×384, 512×512) to ensure crisp display across devices.
Manifest.json: Configured the app manifest so TimeTrade works seamlessly as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
Core Features: Sketched out the trading system for time slots and how users would interact with notifications and schedules.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the icons to display properly across different screen sizes and devices.
Keeping the user interface simple while still planning for advanced features.
Debugging small but crucial details like the manifest integration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Designing a clean and professional logo that works at all resolutions.
Successfully setting up the PWA structure with properly linked icons.
Turning the idea of “time trading” into a tangible project rather than just a concept.
What we learned
The importance of attention to detail in app design, especially with branding and manifest setup.
How to make an app more user-friendly by thinking about simplicity first, features second.
How different resolutions and file formats impact the overall look and usability of a project.
