Inspiration# The Story Behind TimePilot
TimePilot actually started with a problem I was facing myself.
At one point, I noticed that my grades were starting to fall.
At first, I thought maybe I wasn't studying enough. So I tried to study more.
But that didn't really solve the problem.
I started looking at how I was actually spending my day.
I had school, homework, other commitments, travel, and of course, time to rest. I would make plans to study, but somehow I would either run out of time, forget something, or end up trying to do everything at once.
That's when I realized something.
Maybe the problem wasn't that I didn't want to study. Maybe I just wasn't managing my time properly.
And that made me think:
What if there was a tool that could actually understand my day and help me figure out where my study time could realistically fit?
That's where the idea for TimePilot came from.
I didn't want to make another simple timetable where you just write:
“5 PM — Maths.”
Because real life doesn't work like that.
Sometimes school runs late.
Sometimes coaching takes longer.
Sometimes you have a lot of homework.
Sometimes you just need to sleep.
So I wanted TimePilot to look at the whole day, understand those commitments, and then help create a schedule around them.
From that simple idea, TimePilot started growing.
We added personalized scheduling, study goals, sleep and travel considerations, Smart Fit, a Focus Timer, progress tracking, streaks, and an AI Assistant.
What started as me asking,
“Why can't I manage my time properly?”
turned into us asking a much bigger question:
“What if we could build something that helps students manage theirs?”
And that's how TimePilot was born.
