Timelines - Product Launch Impact Analyzer Visualize how your product launches will ripple through markets, competitors, and customers.
Inspiration
We wanted to build an intelligent agent that goes beyond static market research to predict and visualize the complex web of cause-and-effect that follows every product launch. We aimed to create a tool that could offer a glimpse into the future consequences of launching a new product.
What it does
Timelines is an AI-powered tool that predicts and visualizes the long-term impact of product launches. It generates a branching timeline of possible future market events and shows authentic reactions from various AI-generated business personas, such as competitor CEOs and industry analysts, allowing teams to explore a wide range of potential scenarios.
How we built it
Our tech stack includes a Next.js and React frontend with ReactFlow for visualization, Google Gemini for AI integration, and Supabase for the backend. We engineered sophisticated prompts for business-realistic scenarios and built a responsive, collaborative interface.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenges were engineering effective AI prompts to generate coherent business predictions, managing complex node connections in ReactFlow, and handling JSON responses reliably.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully pivoted our initial concept into a focused enterprise product analyzer in just hours. We are proud of our multi-model AI architecture, the creation of enterprise-ready features like authentic stakeholder personas, and our branching algorithm that ensures smart narrative continuity over time.
What we learned
We learned the art of specific prompt engineering and how to balance AI creativity with business realism by giving users control. We also gained deep insights into enterprise user needs—such as a demand for measurable outcomes and collaborative features—and mastered the ReactFlow library for building interactive diagrams.
What's next for Timelines
Our roadmap is focused on enhancing team collaboration features, incorporating more data-driven insights to train our models, adding enterprise integrations with tools like Salesforce and Slack, and developing versions for specialized industry verticals.
