Inspiration

We created Project Timeless with one simple belief: valuable human wisdom should never be lost with time. Stories, personal experiences, and life lessons can help future generations, but they are often scattered or forgotten. We wanted to build a digital space where this knowledge could be preserved and explored with the help of AI.

What it does

Project Timeless is an AI-powered digital archive where users can explore meaningful stories, discover life lessons, and contribute their own experiences through Share a Story. Ask the Archive lets users ask questions and explore ideas inspired by human wisdom, making the archive more interactive and accessible.

How we built it

We built Project Timeless as a web application with a cinematic, dark-themed interface designed to make exploring knowledge feel immersive. The project combines interactive archive sections, story-sharing forms, and an AI question-answering experience powered by the Nebius API. We focused on creating an experience that connects storytelling, digital preservation, and modern AI.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was connecting the AI experience reliably to the backend and deploying it correctly. We also worked through deployment configuration, API integration, and making the visual experience engaging without sacrificing usability. These challenges taught us that a compelling interface must be supported by reliable functionality.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have brought our idea to life as an interactive digital archive with a distinct visual identity, story-sharing capabilities, and an AI-powered way to explore questions. Project Timeless represents our effort to use technology not just to create something new, but to help preserve something meaningful.

What we learned

We learned how frontend design, backend integration, API configuration, and deployment work together in a real project. We also learned the importance of testing features beyond their appearance, handling errors carefully, and keeping the user's experience at the center of development.

What's next for Timeless

We want to make the archive more reliable and searchable, improve how AI answers connect to actual archived stories, and strengthen story storage and discovery. Our long-term vision is to help preserve diverse human experiences and make their lessons accessible to future generations.
