Inspiration - As students, we feel quite distracted at times, losing focus on our studies or homework. To combat this problem, we decided to build a web extension called Timeify! This project was heavily inspired by the attention span problems faced by our fellow students. we were also appalled by the fact that most of our peers were spending more time on sites like YouTube shorts, Instagram, Snapchat and many more, instead of spending their time productively.

What it does - This web extension has 3 main features -

                            -->MinuteManager - This handy tool aims to enhance your time management most 
                                                                 efficiently, taking into account all assignments, 
                                                                 homework, events, and your schedule. It creates a linear 
                                                                 representation of your day.
                            -->FocusFlow - This feature of Timeify is great at preventing distractions. It adds a timer 
                                                        to the corner of your screen whenever you open a distracting app. 
                                                        FocusFlow ensures that you don't get carried away on your "5-minute 
                                                        breaks" which eventually turn into 1-hour long ones :P

How we built it - We used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON for the manifest file. This project mostly uses JavaScript to carry out its many functions.

Challenges we ran into - The team faced many difficulties, such as the creation of such a vast feature as MinuteManager. It took a lot of time to refine the MinuteManager to perform the functions as smoothly as it does now. As an additional problem, the team was not fluent in JavaScript, which we picked up on the way.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - In a very short period, the team exceeded our expectations to code and make this project, which we hope will help a lot of aspiring people with great dreams.

What we learned - During the making of the project, the team's knowledge of JavaScript increased. This was a language that we were really struggling with, but with a little research, we were able to cope with this and were able to take something along with us.

What's next for Timeify - We aspire to increase the scope of this project and become Chrome web developers. We would also try to port this creation into a mobile app form to increase our audience.
