The inspiration behind TimoDesk came from the common challenge of not knowing where time actually goes during work. Many teams and freelancers struggle with confusion, missed deadlines, and low productivity. TimoDesk was built to turn this chaos into clarity, focus, and measurable results.

What it does

TimoDesk is an all-in-one time tracking and productivity management platform that helps users track work hours, monitor activity, manage projects, and generate detailed reports. It provides real-time insights, screenshot monitoring, and workflow analytics to improve team performance and decision-making.

How I built it

TimoDesk is built as a cloud-based SaaS platform combined with a lightweight desktop application. It integrates automatic time tracking, activity monitoring, task management, and analytics dashboards into one system. The desktop app runs in the background, while the cloud system processes and visualizes productivity data.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was balancing productivity tracking with user privacy and trust. Another challenge was creating a system that runs continuously in the background without affecting device performance. Ensuring accurate tracking across different workflows, offline syncing, and real-time reporting also required careful system design.
