Inspiration
I was inspired by how there are many different interpretations of time, how they are measured, and how time has changed throughout history. I had also wanted to make a website because I wanted to learn how to make them for other projects. For that reason I decided to make a website exploring through how time has changed over time.
What it does
Informs the user about how time has changed throughout history and offers activities to help learn these methods. It shows the times throughout global cities and offers activities for Sundials, Water Clocks, Pendulums, Relativity, Atomic Clocks, and Reaction Time.
How we built it
We used HTML to code the website. I used https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML to help learn AI. Since there are a ton of tedious lines of code and since I am working solo and since there are over 800 lines of code, I used AI to help write those lines.
Challenges we ran into
I didn't have a good grasp of HTML going into this project so I had to get better at it as I went. I also had to keep checking to make the designs were right and I also wanted to add interactivity.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of making the 6 activities to increase interactivity with the user while also following the theme of time.
What we learned
Throughout this project I got better at HTML and learned more about design and animation.
What's next for Time Through The Ages
In the future, I would love to make the activities bigger and add more interactivity for the user.
