Time Scheduling App

Everyone in MLH is all over the world. Knowing when your time availability overlaps with a fellow can be confusing. So we created a Time Scheduling App to show when your time is shared with a fellow.

Inspiration

All of the confusion in working with fellows across the world in different time zones.

What it does

It helps you figure out what hours of your day overlap with a fellow pod member in a different time zone.

How we built it

Built using create-react-app, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. NPM dependencies and libraries are repo-report, city-timezones, react-select, timezonezb API, axios API, react-tiny-virtual-list.

Challenges we ran into

Scheduling to work with a pod member halfway around the world is very confusing. So is converting time and creating all the logic to get the app working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a hack! We have something built.

What we learned

Working with time is difficult, learned about async communication and how important overcommunicating is.
