Inspiration

Time is the only resource humans can never recover.

Professionals often use AI to produce more work, yet still feel overloaded by projects, deadlines, files, decisions, and constant context switching. TIME GENERATOR H+AI began with a different question:

What if AI were measured not by how much work it produces, but by how much life it gives back?

What it does

TIME GENERATOR H+AI is a Human + AI operating system for managing complex professional workloads.

Its practical interface, SENSEI OS, converts an overloaded portfolio into a clear visual workflow:

  • NOW — the single main project
  • SUPPORT — urgent work that must continue
  • NEXT — the next project to activate
  • QUEUE — planned future work
  • BACKLOG — ideas that must not interrupt execution

Each project has a clear owner, priority, deadline, progress level, blocker, next action, and definition of done.

The system also introduces a new KPI: Hours Generated. It records how much time Human + AI collaboration saves and where that time is reinvested—in family, health, rest, creativity, or meaningful new work.

How we built it

The project was designed and developed through collaboration between a mining engineer managing real projects and GPT-5.6 using Codex.

Codex helped transform a real, fragmented workload into a structured project system, visual dashboard, action tracker, roadmap, and working web prototype.

Challenges

The main challenge was not creating another task manager. It was designing a system that reduces context switching without removing human judgment.

The human remains the driver. AI acts as the navigator, organiser, and time multiplier.

Accomplishments

  • Created a visual operating model for complex project portfolios
  • Introduced Hours Generated as a measurable Human + AI KPI
  • Applied the system to real engineering, research, health, and volunteer-work workflows
  • Turned a personal productivity problem into a reusable model for professionals and small teams

What we learned

AI should not simply help people work faster so they can receive more work.

The real opportunity is to use AI to return meaningful time to people and let them decide where that time belongs.

What's next

The next version will connect files, calendars, email, recurring workflows, and workspace agents. It will also test the system with additional professionals and measure how many hours of life it returns over time.
