Inspiration
Cozy time-management games like Cooking Fever, but built for Reddit, with rewards the community can actually see.
What it does
Run a pixel-art bakery: collect ingredients, mix dough, bake it, serve customers before they lose patience. Everyone plays the same daily shift, so scores are comparable, top the daily leaderboard and you earn real Reddit flair.
How we built it
Phaser + TypeScript + Vite on the client, all running as a Devvit web app.
Challenges we ran into
Getting pixel art to have correct layering, a baker who walks and stands naturally next to the stations she's using.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Flair that's actually earned and passed around daily based on real competition, not just a static leaderboard. Also found and fixed a bug quietly doubling our load time.
What we learned
Small details matter more than big features for making a game feel good.
What's next for TIME FOR DESSERTO!
more dessert!
