🚀 Inspiration

Have you ever wanted to send a message to your future self? Or store a moment forever and unlock it later? That curiosity is what sparked the idea of Time Capsule — a digital vault to preserve your memories for the future.

🛠️ What We Built

We created a MERN stack web app where users can write memories, attach media, lock it with a future date, and boom, it's sealed until the time comes! The front-end is React with a futuristic UI, and the back-end uses Express + MongoDB to safely store and retrieve capsules based on unlock times.

• How to use date-based logic in real-world apps
• File uploads and media handling
• Time-based access restrictions (unlock only after a set date)
• Cloud deployment using Render & Vercel

⚔️ Challenges We Faced

• Implementing a secure future-lock system that can't be bypassed
• Designing a UI that feels both nostalgic and futuristic
• Managing file storage for text, images, and other media formats

🌌 The Future

We plan to introduce capsule sharing, email reminders, and maybe even a blockchain version for immutability. Time travel vibes incoming 👾
