Inspiration

Having been given the theme of time, we wanted to develop a web app that reminded people of the value of time and eventually came up with the idea of helping people with dementia better orient themselves in time.

What it does

Our aim was to produce a website which prioritised preserving a clear and structured schedule for dementia patients, with a focus on reducing anxiety and regulating emotions. The website ensures patients are aware about daily tasks, maintaining regularity throughout their day and provides services such as Chatbots for further engagement and support. Other functions, such as measuring vitals using Presage, further aid monitoring of patients in environments where support is lacking.

How we built it

Once we developed each feature, we utilised AI in Google AI Studio to implement the features individually.

Challenges we ran into

Writing code collaboratively was engaging but also presented challenges in managing different versions and resolving conflicting changes. By working on several different features in parallel, we were able to minimise these issues and learnt how to distribute workload effectively.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

With the help of AI, we managed to integrate many more features into our website than what we originally anticipated.

What we learned

Both idea generation and completing the website are equally as difficult; one requires creativity and the other stamina and attentiveness.

What's next for Time Anchor

Due to the time constraints, we could not implement all the features we wanted to. With all of the tasks and other data collected through the app, we can make the assistant feel more personal and tailored to the individual’s needs.
