Inspiration

I was inspired by long lines/queues at malls and other places. TillToken can allow people to access Facilities in a safe and timely manner, without having to be exposed to long queues.

What it does

It allows the Store/Service Facility to provision Time based access tokens to customers.

Each Token is attached to a slot, which is a set period of time, in which customers can access the Facility.

How I built it

I used my Android phone as my laptop was in for repairs. The low-code feature allowed me to implement most of the UI and Basic features without having to use a Full PC Hardware Set. I enjoyed the SaaS features and the ease with which I built the MVP, and it's surprisingly packed with great data features that enable for a great user experience and Software Design principles.

Challenges I ran into

I did not commit properly to the principle of least privilege. I think I got carried away with Table relationships, which might distract the user, but it can be fixed.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I was selected for the Google Africa Developer Scholarship in 2019, plus I am Microsoft Certified in HTML, JavaScript and CSS3.

What I learned

Quickbase is great! I will definitely use it in the future, I might use it with the Node.js stack.

What's next for TillToken

I will make it a product, no matter what. I feel like it's a real idea, for real problems in the real world.
