The inherent volatility of cryptocoins to be an antifragile investment vehicle that can fund the building of new schools, artistic endeavors, community building efforts, disaster relief such as Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, college funds for low-income / immigrant students, and retirement savings that out-perform most mutual funds and 401k's.

For many years, the ultra-wealthy have used ideas like Ray Dahlio's all-seasons strategy and modern portfolio theory to balance their funds between traditional asset classes like stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities, real estate, and precious metals. These methods are difficult to use, vary slowly, and have remained inaccessible for 99% of the world's population. They are not taught in schools, and there is not a culture of investing funds together as a group or a family to benefit a particular cause or save up for a goal.

The idea is to create an auto-balancing portfolio of cryptocurrencies with a beautiful, intuitive interface that will help democratize the idea of investing, provide a relatively uncorrelated alternative to the world's savers, and allow people to search for and fund social causes they care about.

From October 13-17, tightrope was down because of a nonce issue. When calling the Poloniex Node client on multiple machines, the nonce is initialized from the unix epoch time. I'm running tightrope on a production desktop, but continued to make read-only calls from my laptop. My laptop inflated the nonce, causing API calls to fail on the desktop. This is now an issue to fix:

From October 1st to October 9th, tighrope has balanced 50% ETH and 50% BTC and gained 6.02% in ETH. On a principal of $762, this is a gain of about $17. We are working on transferring this profit to an Ethereum debit card and donating to Remote Area Medical, a volunteer-driven organization that is providing hurricane relief to Puerto Rico:
