Inspiration
We were inspired to make a solution to a problem everybody who drives to campus faces, while challenging ourselves to make something out of our comfort zones.
What it does
Our we app allows users to sign in and tell the app what time frame they will be at the school for, and the app will in turn reserve a parking space on campus for them for the appropriate amount of time.
How we built it
We built it with a node.js backend paired with a typescript and css front end and hosted both of them on Amazon EC2 servers.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to use the amazon server less features because we couldn't test it locally for a while.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we stuck it out through the struggles and still made a pretty solid product regardless of setbacks.
What we learned
We learned that planning very specifically how a front and back end will work is crucial to a easier end result.
What's next for TigerPark
Pushing ourselves and possibly the app into new and exciting things.
