Inspiration

The inspiration for this project was to give awareness to the issues that tigers face in captivity. I (Jayden) live close to the Carolina Tiger Rescue, an institution that saves wild cats that have spent their entire lives in the entertainment industry or were purchased and then abandoned.

What it does

This site allows for the user to generate real (and often sad) facts about the dangers against tigers, the wild cat trade, and how institutions breed, abandon, and use tigers for profit. At the bottom, you can find what ways you and the average person can help with these issues!

How we built it

This site was built on Glitch, a hosting site that allows you to build your site completely customizable. The languages used were HTML, CSS, and javascript were used in the creation of this site.

Challenges we ran into and what we learned

The time that we had was definitely a challenge, especially to make it look good as well as work. But it was also difficult to figure out how to build the generator in javascript on a website so that experience was definitely wonderful to hold for the future!

What's next for Tiger Town

What we would love to do most of all is to make the resources more interactive so that users will be enticed to learn more and possibly give to foundations that help with this issue!
