Inspiration 💡 In our fast-paced daily lives, transportation is a necessity. However, it's easy to forget to prebook or purchase tickets on time, leading to misplacements or losses. Tickqeasy was inspired by the need for an automated solution to handle ticket management efficiently. This application simplifies ticket handling by allowing users to upload, download, mail, and create QR codes for ticket verification, ensuring a convenient and stress-free experience.
What it does 🚀 Tickqeasy streamlines ticket management through the following features:
Adding Tickets: Users can add tickets to the application, which generates a unique ID to keep track of them. Ticket details are emailed to users along with a download link.
Ticket Deletion: Expired tickets can be deleted from the application, keeping the interface clutter-free.
QR Code Generation: Users can create QR codes for tickets, allowing anyone to verify their authenticity.
Manual Ticket Viewing: Users can manually access and view tickets using the web application by entering the unique ID.
Location Verification: Tickqeasy incorporates a location verifier that utilizes the TomTom API. Users can input address details, and the application checks whether the location exists.
How we built it 🏗️ Tickqeasy was built with a user-friendly interface and straightforward functionality in mind. The technology stack includes:
HTML/CSS: Used for designing the user interface to ensure an easy and pleasant user experience. Flask: Implemented as the backend framework to handle various processes and requests. MongoDB: Utilized for data storage, enabling efficient ticket management. Icons and Fonts: Carefully selected to enhance the application's visual appeal.
Challenges we ran into 🤔 During the development of Tickqeasy, we encountered the challenge of integrating multiple functions and APIs seamlessly. Coordinating these elements to work together efficiently was crucial to the project's success.
Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆 We take pride in the transformation of Tickqeasy from an initial concept to a fully functional application. Its ability to simplify ticket management and enhance user convenience is a significant accomplishment.
What we learned 📚 Working on Tickqeasy allowed us to gain valuable insights into the development process. We learned to: Design an application flow that addresses real-world issues. Make informed decisions about which features to include. Implement proper code organization and maintain a clear directory structure. Handle and scale a multi-tier application effectively.
What's next for Tickqeasy - Make Your Tickets Handy!! 🚀 While Tickqeasy has come a long way, there are exciting possibilities for its future development: Implement direct ticket downloads after QR code scans for enhanced convenience. Integrate maps into the application to provide users with real-time travel information based on their mode of transportation. Continuously improve and expand the application's features to offer an even more comprehensive ticket management solution.
